Interest and Future Goals.
Brief statement about career goals:
When I first choose biomedical engineering, I was really interested
in the technology aspect of growing artificial organs such as
the liver and the skin. Not only do I want to that, I also would
like to help create things that better the lives of the mentally
and physically disabled children in the RISE program, at the University
of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and everywhere else. Volunteering at
the center gave me the inspiration to make things simple as guitar
picks or tennis rackets, so these children can also play amongst
their peers. These children can also have medical problems such
as pacemaker defect that I hope to solve through developing new
inventions.
With that as my inspiration, I would like to use my degree to
create such inventions. However, creating the inventions requires
knowledge from all fields. I would also like to do stem cell research,
biomedical related research such as artificial organs, and many
other aspects of medicine. After graduating from UAB with a bachelor’s
degree in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in business, I hope
to also have my Master’s from their program. After earning my
Master’s degree, I may choose to continue to Medical school to
further my knowledge about medicine to help me in my research.
I would also like to do stem cell research, biomedical related
research such as artificial organs, and DNA technology. Either
way, my careeer goal is to get my degrees and help the children
in need, because they are the future of our society. They also
need the chance.
