Facilities in Materials Research Laboratory and High Pressure Laboratory:
  1. Micro-Raman/Photoluminescence Spectrometer for non-destructive characterization of materials.
  2. Laser heating facility for materials synthesis at high pressures and high temperatures.
  3. 1.2 kW and 6 kW Microwave Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition (MPCVD) systems for diamond growth. Single crystal diamond growth as well as diamond coatings on metals.
  4. Thin Film X-ray Diffractometer.
  5. Nano-indentation and Atomic Force Microscope.
  6. Diamond Anvil cells for high pressure-high temperature research.
  7. Sample preparation lab for micron-level sample assembly.
  8. Adhesion Scratch Testing Equipment.
