Practice up on your billiards skills... Try running the applet with the center of mass box unchecked, so that the center of mass is not shown. Predict what will happen to the center of mass for each case, then check the box and rerun the applet with the same settings to see if you are correct. You should always ask yourself, does this show that momentum is conserved?
