Meetings
Meetings are held in the Conference Room (CH 302) at 5:30pm on the
first Monday of every month.

Activities
The chapter participates in service projects such as the Science Olympiad
and Science Fairs. For fun the members take field trips and plan social
gatherings. Examples are trips to the Six Flags, the US Space and Rocket
Center, and the Spring picnic.
SPS Journal Club
There is a weekly meeting of the Journal Club on Thursdays at noon
in the SPS meeting room (CH 361). It provides a forum for graduate
students to discuss articles covering a wide range of topics. This
benefits the student's speaking ability and increases the scope of
their knowledge.
SPS Meeting Room
Campbell Hall room 361 is the SPS room and is a large facility with
many books and a conference table with chairs. There is a microwave,
refrigerator,coffee maker and other amenities available to all
physics majors. The room has a keypad entry and the code is available
at SPS meetings.
Bulletin Board
There is an SPS bulletin board outside the department mail room.
Pertinent information is regularly posted to it.
Physics Open House
Each year the physics department puts on a large demonstration show
for local high school students. This is primarily run by the members
of the SPS.
